Constricted access made this job difficult
South Wales 2023
Although this spill was relatively straightforward to remediate, access was very difficult and spoil had to be removed across fields to be collected. High quality landscaping and field repairs required.

Remediating requiring the rebuilding of a hillside
North Wales 2019
A difficult spill to remediate due to the site being on a steeply sloped garden. After a tightly controlled excavation, the hillside was reprofiled to match the original shape.

Large excavation and river diversion
Gwent 2018
Over a period of months, thousands of litres had tracked from a ruptured oil line down a two hundred metre gradient into the local river. The remediation work involved excavating and replacing over 800 tonnes of contaminated soil, rediverting the river whilst the banks were cleaned and reshaped, and landscaping gardens.

Spill requiring large excavation and subsequent run-off filtration
Vale of Glamorgan 2012
Thousands of litres of heating oil spilt from an unfinished oil line, flowing through the garden, and emerging on the downward slope of a road towards the River Ely. After 12 months of excavation, filtering the run-off, and rebuilding and landscaping the large garden and roadside hedgerows, the job was completed to the satisfaction of Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru with whom close working relationships were established. CRS's handling of this job earned them a nomination for 'Major Loss Category' of the British Insurance Awards 2014.
